There are a bunch of chintzy looking bath fan hoods out there. This one is unusual in that it appears that thought went into the design. Air doesn't like to make abrupt turns. This hood is efficiently curved to allow the air to flow out smoothly. It has an extremely low Equivalent Length of 25 feet. Thought went into the design of the water protection as well. And although birds like to flip open the dampers on some wall mounted hoods and nest inside the ducting and that is certainly not good for the air flow, that doesn't happen with this hood. And the bird screen (and the backdraft damper) on this hood can be removed if the system is going to run continuously because anything in the way of the air flow will reduce it. The damper itself is tighter and better fitting than most. This is a great product that will last for years.
